24 MonthsDiploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is a two-year full-time diploma programme offered by State Council of Educational Research and Training, Lucknow and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must have cleared High School or a certificate of equivalent level from a corresponding board or university.
- The individual cut-off marks may differ from one institution to another, and it is usually expected to scale above the 50% to 55% range.
- There is a minimum age requirement for applying. this is a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 35 Years for GEN/OBC and it is 40 Years for SC/ST/PH.
- The Indian universities and institutions comply with government orders, which provide for reservation for admission to D.El.Ed. This includes reserving seats for the mentioned categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwD) by prescribing quotas for candidates belonging to these social strata.
- Some colleges have their own entrance tests for admission to D.El.Ed course. Contestants should appear and pass these exams to be able to get accepted into junior colleges.
- Some colleges provide selective admissions to those who choose Direct Entry at the D.El.Ed. It is their academic performance that decides if they will qualify to become a candidate.
- Native or knowledge of the instruction language is needed for admission to the D.El.Ed course.
- Each candidate who is aspiring to apply should verify the precise eligibility criteria for the college he or she is targeting, as they tend to differ.

Admission Shall be Made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the state government/UT Adminstration.
