KS College, Bhind was established in 2009 and it is an affiliated college located at Mau, Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh. This co-educational institution is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to assert effective teacher education. KS College is a private college located in a small plot measuring 0.85 acres; it provides two programmes in education for aspiring teachers. Having a team of 12 highly qualified faculty members, the college envisions offering an environment that will ensure students receive special focus in an academic and professional arena.

The college has a variety of amenities aimed at improving the learning environment of the college learners. A library full of books is considered an information centre that furnishes important sources for authorities and students. This centre enhances the physical exercise and the spirit of teamwork among the students. In the area of information technology, the college boasts of good IT facilities, fully supporting students in understanding modern technological tools. Instructors in departments have practical laboratories, which are valuable in the subjects taught in courses leading to education for student teachers. To enhance institutional convenience, the college has adequately developed and avails adequate parking space for faculty, staff, and students. A campus auditorium is used for occasions, lectures, and other social and cultural activities that make a vibrant college.

KS College offers two full-time programs in the field of education only that too at Bhind—an approach that is unique. The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) curricula are developed with specific aims of producing professional teachers. Each course has an approved intake of fifty student’s seats, therefore giving an overall student intake of one hundred students for both programmes. He noted that these courses will offer all the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed in teaching in schools.

At KS College, Bhind, all the admissions are taken based on the merit, percentage obtained in the qualifying examination itself. For the B.Ed. programme, admissions may also be through merit in entrance tests and/or other criteria as per the rules of the particular state government, UT administration, and the university. In the same way, this D.El.Ed. programme is provided after adoption with the admission policies and norms set up by the state government or UT administration. Any changes in the academic calendar, such as the opening date, holiday, and closing date, may vary depending on the implementing school or college; therefore, any student who is intending to join the college should look for the college’s calendar or contact the admissions office to get the specific dates of the academic year. As for the programmes and scholarships, information is scarce; anybody willing and eager to join a college can always contact the college’s officials regarding any financial aid.

KS College, established at Bhind, with its dedicated effort for the growth of teacher education, is an appropriate college for those who want to take a step towards constructing the future through education. It is well located, well endowed with modern facilities and offers specialised courses that can be taken by students in the region interested in a teaching profession.
