Kuntala Kumari Sabat Women's College, Balasore (K.K.S) is a well-reputed women's college in Odisha. The college provides a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different fields. K.K.S maintains a methodical admission process for the selection of deserving female applicants for its educational courses.

Admissions in K.K.S are generally made prior to the beginning of the academic year, normally in August-September. There are 21 courses in four degrees, which include 18 undergraduate courses and 3 postgraduate courses. With a total admission capacity of 730, K.K.S has a fair but competitive admissions process.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.A. Programmes: K.K.S operates several B.A. (Honours) programmes such as English, Economics, Education, History, Home Science, Odia, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sanskrit, and Sociology. The number of seats in the B.A. programmes is 360. Candidates are admitted to these programmes on the basis of marks in 10+2 with pre-requisite subject requirements for certain disciplines.

B.Sc. Courses: B.Sc. (Honours) in Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Zoology, Computer Science, and Mathematics is provided by the college. There are 160 seats for B.Sc. courses. The candidates are chosen on the basis of their performance in 10+2 examination with a preference for science subjects.

B.Com Course: K.K.S offers B.Com with 32 seats. Admission is through merit based on the marks obtained in the 10+2 exam, providing special preference to students of Commerce or Commerce-related courses.

M.A. Courses: M.A. courses in Sanskrit, Home Science, and Education are offered with 32 seats in each course in the college. Admission to postgraduate courses typically relies on the candidate's performance in the undergraduate course and might include an entrance test or interview.
