Established in 1998, Lala Lajpat Rai Institute of Engineering and Technology (LLRIET), Moga, is an affiliated co-educational college of engineering in Moga, Punjab. Located on a spacious campus of 28 acres, the college is affiliated with Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda, and has the approval of AICTE. In order to maintain an ideal student-teacher ratio, the college enrols 698 students with a faculty count of 5 dedicated teachers. LLRIET offers a total of 12 courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. 

Lala Lajpat Rai Institute of Engineering and Technology aims to develop a favourable environment for overall student development by promoting several modern facilities. The library at the college is the epicentre of knowledge which contains more than 21,322 books and 104 national and international journals, newspapers, and magazines. The library can accommodate up to 200 students at the same time and over membership to all the students. As part of the college’s vision to increase connectivity, the campus is WiFi enabled and has state-of-the-art infrastructure. In order to cultivate team spirit and maintain students’ health, LLRIET has made available many recreational facilities and sports complexes. The sports department of the college presents the students with a number of sports facilities for outdoor games like tennis, football, kabbadi, cricket, hockey, and volleyball along with an excellent modern gymnasium. 

Accommodation of students is taken care of by the college by offering separate boys’ and girls’ hostels with facilities ranging from geysers, hostel mess, water cooler, and indoor game facilities. Other facilities at the college include a cafeteria to meet the food requirements, and as a space to relax and socialise, a dispensary with first aid kit to attend medical emergencies, and transport facilities for day scholars at a minimal rate. An auditorium is also present at the LLRIET to conduct cultural events and academic seminars. 

At present, the college offers 12 courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. At the UG level, the college has courses such as Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com Honours) of three year duration and B.Sc Information Technology. B.Tech courses offered by the college has various specialisations such as Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Information Technology. For postgraduate students, the college provides Master of Business Applications (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) of two year duration.

At Lala Lajpat Rai Institute of Engineering and Technology, the admission for undergraduate courses are merit based; the college accounts for the marks obtained in the qualification exams. As for postgraduate courses, in particular for the MBA course, the college considers the scores of several entrance examinations such as CMAT, CAT, and XAT while for MCA, the marks obtained at the graduation level exams are taken into consideration. 

LLRIET has an active alumni network which is useful for the current students. The college alumni have been placed in various MNCs such as Accenture, Google, Infosys, and Cognizant showing the quality of education that the college offers.
