Lala Lajpat Rai Institute of Engineering and Technology (LLRIET), Moga, intended to be an affiliated co-ed engineering college, comes into being in Moga, Punjab. The institute offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in different disciplines of engineering, technology, and management. LLRIET's admission process selects deserving candidates based on both their merit and entrance test scores. Normally, the admission cycle at LLRIET starts at least a few months before the commencement of a new academic year. Thus, for undergraduate programs, most admissions are held based on merit, i.e., the marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) by candidates. For postgraduate programs, especially MBA, entrance scores such as CAT (Common Admission Test), XAT, and CMAT, which are of national importance, are responsible for the evaluation process.

The criterion for the program varies. For undergraduate courses like BCA, B.Com (Hons), and B.Sc. (IT), students should qualify in 10+2 or equivalent exams from a recognized board. For B.Tech programs, students should have qualified the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Before applying for the MBA course, aspirants must complete their undergraduate studies from any discipline and hold valid scores in CAT/XAT/CMAT entrance exams. Different entrance exam scores allow LLRIET to cover multiple programs. For example, in addition to CAT, XAT, CMAT, and several others, sometimes PU MET is also counted for admissions in certain management courses.

For Undergraduate Programs (B.Tech, BCA, BBA, B.Sc IT, B.Com Hons):

1. Visit the official LLRIET Website.

2. Browse the admissions section and download the application form.

3. Fill up the application form with correct personal information and academic details.

4. Attach all required documents, which shall include:

• Marksheets 10th and 12th
• Character certificate
• Migration certificate (if applicable)
• Passport size photographs

5. Payment of application fees as stipulated by the institute.

6. Submit the whole application form along with all documents to the admissions office before the deadline.

For MBA Program:

1. Make a valid score by writing the CAT/XAT/CMAT.

2. Go to the LLRIET website and download the MBA application form.

3. Fill out the form and attach the following documents:

• Graduation mark sheets and degree certificate
• CAT/XAT/CMAT score card
• Work experience certificate (if applicable)
• Two recommendation letters

4. Deposit the fee applicable to MBA applicants.

5. Submit complete forms and documentation to the admissions office.

 6. Shortlisted candidates may also be called for further rounds of selection, including group discussion or personal interviews.

For MCA Degree:

1. Download the MCA application form from the LLRIET website.

2. Fill the form accurately.

3. Attach the following documents: Graduation mark sheets and degree certificate

• 10th and 12th mark sheets
• Two letters of recommendation

4. Pay the application fees for the MCA program.

5. Finally, submit the application form and all documents to the admissions office on or before the last date.

Degree-wise Admission Process

 B.Tech: LLRIET is offering B.Tech in various fields, such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. 

BCA: There are 60 seats available for the Bachelor of Computer Applications at LLRIET. For eligibility, candidates must qualify for 10+2 or equivalent exams in any stream from a recognized board.

BBA: The Bachelor of Business Administration program has an intake of 60 seats as well. The qualifying criteria are the same as that of BCA: Candidates need to complete 10+2 from any recognized board.

B.Sc Information Technology: Similar eligibility criteria have been adopted by this program, which also encapsulates 60 seats.

B.Com (Hons): For the course in Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), the student intake is 30. Eligible candidates should qualify for 10+2 or equivalent exams from a recognized board.

MBA: The Master of Business Administration program at LLRIET has 54 seats available, with admission based on their performance in CAT/XAT/CMAT followed by further selection process as specified. Applicants are required to be graduates in any stream.

MCA: The Master of Computer Applications program has an input of 54 seats, selected based on the marks in the graduation level exams.
