Establishedin 2016, Maa Mewati Tara Devi Institute of Girls Education, Mau, is an affiliated college for girls in Dhaurahra (Bhatkol), Mau, Uttar Pradesh. This institution which is recognised and accorded by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) offers various programmes and teacher education courses. In all, the institute teaches 193 students and the prospective female students in their pursuit of higher education. The college has three programmes which provide the students with a number of choices in terms of area of specialisation and career orientation. An institute is always proud of having a range of such facilities that can add value to educational institution and students. 

The college has well-equipped physiotherapy facilities and thus, Maa Mewati Tara Devi Institute of Girls Education promotes the spirit of physical fitness among student’s teams. The D.El.Ed programme has provision for intake of fifty students. These courses bear the intent of building up good basics of the respective fields to suit more academic progression or even employment.

The admission in Maa Mewati Tara Devi Institute of Girls Education differs from one course to another. Admissions to D.El.Ed programme are strictly merit based and passing marks of the candidate in the qualifying examination as well as/or entrance examination are considered. The institute may also follow any other mode of selection which may be followed as per the policy of the state government or UT administration.
