The candidates should pass in Higher Secondary (10+2) West Bengal Council Of Higher Secondary Education (W.B.CH.S.E) or Pass in (10+2) pattern after a period of 12 years of study or pass in an Examination recognized as equivalent by the appropriate authority provided he/she passed at least in five subjects with English as a compulsory subject.

B. Eligibility to apply for Admission to Hons. Subjects
(a) For General Students:-
i. Who obtain 55% marks in the aggregate in the last (10+2) examination
ii. Who obtains 50% marks in the aggregate with 60% marks in the subject in the qualifying examinations?

(b) For SC/ST Students:-
i. Who obtain 41% marks in the aggregate in the last (10+2) examination.
ii. Who obtain 37.5% marks in the aggregate with 45% marks in the subject in the qualifying examinations.

(c) For OBC Students:-
i. Who obtain 49.5% marks in the aggregate in the last (10+2) examination.
ii. Who obtain 45% marks in the aggregate with 54% marks in the subject in the qualifying examinations.
In the matter of eligibility to apply for admission to the Honours course 54.5% marks or above shall be treated as 55% marks, 49.5% marks or above shall be treated as 50%, and 59.5% or above shall be treated as 60%.
