MGC is affiliated college; the college was established 15 years ago in Kannur District of Kerala-state. It is affiliated with the NAAC and provides under graduate and post graduate courses for students. Located on a seventeen acre seamless land, MGC has total enrolment of 670 students where the population mainly consist of 86 % under graduate and 14 % post graduate students. Female students form a greater portion of the college in the UG courses with 57 percent while that of PG courses is 88 percent. Currently, MGC has 30 faculties, seven courses in five degree programmes, including Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics.
This college has great amenities that are meant to improve the students’ academic and personal development. The school has a library that has over 10,000 books and documents, newspapers, and academic journals in different fields in MGC. As for the technical group, the college has equipped three computer labs with 80 updated computer systems and broadband connectivity for internet operations. Gentle people interested in sports can make use of the college playground which offers the college land for activities such as athletics, football, vollyball, and cricket. It also has a mini gymnasium for people that really want to work out. For the purpose of accommodating students from afar MGC has hostels for boys and girls with study halls, prayer rooms and dinning halls respectively.
