Mahatma Gandhi Dental College and Hospital is sprawled over 5 acres of land and is host to a full array of dental programs. Other courses offered by MGMDCH include the Postgraduate Diploma in Oral Surgery and PhD in some dental specialities. Undergraduate courses at MGMDCH follow a most stringent and exclusively merit-based admission process. Admission to most of the BDS course students was through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, a country-wide conducted test. Admission to the MDS courses—postgraduate courses—is done through the NEET MDS examination. The institute inducts students for its PhD programs in various dental specialities through application.

Degree wise Admission Process
BDS: The MGMDCH takes in 100 intake seats for BDS. Admission would be made purely on NEET score. A candidate must be 17 years old by 31st December of the year for admission and above 50th percentile score in NEET.
MDS Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics: Intake 3 seats in postgraduate courses. For getting an admission in that course, one must obtain more than 50th percentile scores in NEET MDS.
MDS Prosthodontics Crown and Bridge: With 3 seats, the admission would need a minimum of 50th percentile in NEET MDS.
MDS Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery: The course would provide 4 seats. For getting the admission, the student would have to achieve the minimum of 50th percentile in NEET MDS.
MDS Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics: This is a speciality with 2 seats. For admission, candidates must secure a minimum of 50th percentile in NEET MDS.
MDS Oral Pathology and Oral Microbiology: The total number of seats is 3. The requirement for the entrance is to attain at least a 50th percentile in NEET MDS.
MDS Periodontics: It contains 3 seats with a requirement to attain a minimum of 50th percentile in NEET MDS for entrance.
PhD Programs: MGMDCH offers PhD programmes in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Pathology and Microbiology, and Periodontology. Each programme contains 6 seats except for the Periodontology which has only 3. The admission in PhD programmes requires additional requirements above NEET score.
