You don’t need to give any entrance exam for it in many states. So yes, with 87%, you can easily get admission in a good government or private polytechnic college.

Each college has a number of seats, and they prepare a list based on the marks of students who apply. This is called a merit list. Since you have 87%, your name will likely come on that list. In fact, you’ll probably be near the top because your marks are higher than many students.
