Mahatma Gandhi Shikshan Mandal's Arts Science and Commerce College, Chopda was established in 1969. It is an affiliated college and NAAC accredited. The courses are offered under the various streams of arts and commerce and science. Spread over a sprawling campus of 36 acres, the college proudly boasts a total enrolment of 3,174 students with a strength of 82 faculty members. The institution offers 11 degrees in a gamut of 45 courses catering to various interests. Maintaining a healthy ratio of male to female students, the college comprises 1,636 female students and 1,457 male students. 

Mahatma Gandhi Shikshan Mandal's Arts Science and Commerce College has developed a number of facilities to enhance the learning environment for students. The library in it has over 60,000 books acting as the nucleus that houses all the academic research and study. Separate hostels are there for boys and girls, and the intake capacity is 175 for both of them. The facility accommodates them with food, purified water, and medical facilities. It's a heaven for the enthusiasts of sports with the 400-meter running track, football ground, basketball court, and handball court. There is, in addition, a multi-gym facility, weight lifting area, and Judo lounge and table tennis facilities inside the college. 

There are very well-equipped laboratories with IT infrastructure and Wi-Fi campus coverage, making the complete campus adequate for academic purposes by the students. For events and seminars, the institution constructed a 500-seater auditorium. There exists a canteen for food requirements both by the students and the staff. The institution provides 34 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes along with doctoral courses. 

Well sought-undergraduate programmes are BA in Marathi, English, Political Science, B.Com, B.Sc in Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, professional courses like BCA, BBA, etc. The postgraduate courses the college offers include: MA in English, Marathi, Economics, and Political Science; M.Sc in Chemistry, Physics, and Computer Science, and M.Com. The college has research programmes in the subjects of Electronics, Zoology, Chemistry, and Physics. It admits 3,174 students in all courses put together and has graduated a considerable number of students during the last academic year.
