Mahendra Institute of Management and Technical Studies, Khurda: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Mahendra Institute of Management and Technical Studies (MIMTS) was established in the year 2010 is an Affiliated College at Khurda, Odisha. MIMTS is located on a small piece of 0.826 acre and it offers many programs that cut across the different fields of discipline. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has also given it the approval it deserves to provide quality education. MIMTS has ten members in the faculty, thus ensuring that every student receives enough focus. Currently, it has 11 programmes that are distributed within 6 degrees of management, commerce, arts and 3 science streams.

MIMTS have include some sophisticated facilities aimed at helping the students in their learning activities. The institute has arranged separate independent fully furnished Hostels for both boys and girls for out station students. In the middle of MIMTS is the library which essentially underpins the entire learning process. A fully automated and linked with an e-library facility, it provides students and faculty numerous ways to learn more than the formal educational processes. 

The MIMTS community has benefited from the well-equipped air conditioned reading room with a collection of national and international refereed journals and periodicals to support their scholarly endeavours. The infrastructure support provided to the learners by the institute is not restrictive but equally advanced, computer stations well endowed with the latest systems and applications. The students and the faculty can access high speed broadband internet connection round the clock and keep themselves updated in the contemporary business world.

The business institute offers all the programs such as full time programs in all levels of study from undergraduate to postgraduate level. The course for offered in management, commerce, arts, and sciences thereby ensuring that the students get different education alternatives. The following are the provided courses: PGDM, M.Com Finance and Control, MA-Personnel Management and Industrial Relations Business, BBA, MCA, BCA,  B.Sc Zoology, B.Sc Computer Science, B.Sc Botany, B.Sc Mathematics, B.Sc Chemistry and B.Sc Physics. The flagship PGDM program offered at the institute has been accorded an approved intake capacity of 60 students, which is suggestive of the institute’s management education mission.

The admission process of the MIMTS differs according to the program in question. Candidate shall appear for national level examination such as CAT/ CMAT /XAT /MAT /ATMA for admission in PGDM program and thereafter shall be subjected to Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The criteria followed in admission to those programs include the candidate’s performance in the relevant university, a written exam, group discussion, and a panel interview for programs such as M.Com and MA. B.Sc program undergraduate admission is done online through the SAMS following the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Odisha. MIMTS recognize numerous central entrance examination, which gives flexibility to the students seeking admission. Lack of specific scholarship information might exist but the institute does provide a range of courses and has well equipped facilitation which makes it a good place for learning in Odisha.
