Malabar College of Engineering and Technology, MCET, established in 2009, is a well acknowledged school located in Thrissur, Kerala. This affiliated college approved by the All India Council for Technical Education also has a wide and comprehensive engineering course in India in the undergraduate and postgraduate standard. MCET has a faculty team of 83 committed teacher who aim to impart technical education in aspiring engineers. The college teaches 12 courses of two degree levels in disciplines like Civil and Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering, Automobile Engineering and Technology, Mechatronics Engineering and Biomedical engineering.
MCET has several facilities wince can improve the learning process of its students which are as follows; The college has laboratory facilities for every departments to fulfill the practical session needs. The library, a refereed collection, contains more than 45000 volumes of text books and 100 national and 8 international journals subscription. To facilitate its students, MCET has preserved different hostels for both male and female students. The boys’ hostel has the capacity to house more than 2000 students and the girls’ hostel over 4000 students. The two hostels also have study halls and recreation facilities. It also has health centre with first aid, gymnasium and variety of sports facilities like available football ground, volley ball and basket ball court, indoor games like table tennis and badminton etc.
There are in all 12 courses available in the institute out of which 7 are B.Tech and the rest are M.Tech. All undergraduate programmes are full-time courses which take 4 years to complete. The B.Tech programmes offered are Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer science & Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering and M.Tech courses in Applied Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Thermal Engineering are provided by the college. The capacity to enroll students in each of the M.Tech programmes is 18. Different categories have different approvals for intake, B.Tech programmes as follows Computer science and engineering, Mechatronics engineering and biomedical engineering have intakes of 60 of the total and all other branches have intakes of 30 of the total.
Admission to MCET depended mostly on test results with a trend to increase test scores. In B.Tech programmes, the college accepts scores from JEE Main examination, KEAM examination and also UGET examination. These examinations act as a channel through which the intending students are able to gain admission place in the college. The institute has a merit based admission process so that, students having talent will get the opportunity to study engineering at MCET.
This study has given an account of how MCET has developed itself into a credible organisation in offering engineered knowledge. In as much as the tertiary, the college offers a wide-ranging course offers a broad course-directory, modern teaching facilities, and a pragmatic training concept, the institution produces the technicians required to thrive within the complex and active technological world. I am afraid to tell you that the Government Engineering college Thrissur accepts only KEAM scores and this exam has already been taken successfully on 16 the July 2020.
But do not worry there are various colleges in keral that accepts Jee scores as well . You can find these details about them in the given link

Yes dear aspirant,Malabar College of Engineering and technology or MCET is having Btech. courses with specialisations in Robotics,Artificial Intelligence,Cloud Computing,Cyber Security etc.So,yes they are having specialisation in Cyber Security and you can study there among a lot of other specialisations.So,if you want to join that institute then you can.
