The diploma in Civil Engineering is a three-year full-time course offered by the Directorate of Technical Education, Thiruvananthapuram, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Eligibility Criteria
Diploma in 3 years:
The candidate should be a citizen of India.
Candidates seeking admission to Polytechnic Colleges shall be categorized as Keralite and Non-Keralite.
The candidate should have passed SSLC/THSLC or equivalent examination, with eligibility for higher studies.
Diploma in 2 years:
The candidate should be a citizen of India.
Candidates seeking admission to Polytechnic Colleges shall be categorized as Keralite and Non-Keralite.
The candidate should have passed +2/ equivalent examination/VHSE with Mathematics, English, physics, and chemistry after completion of 2 years of regular courses or passed 2 years of matric courses of NCVT/SCVT/KGCE.
In the case of +2/VHSE, the candidate should have a minimum score of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics put together.
In the case of 2 years courses of NCVT/SCVT/ KGCE candidates should have a minimum of 50%6 of the aggregate marks in the qualifying examination
In the case of candidates who have passed 2 years of courses of NCVT/SCVT/KGCE, they will be considered for admission to the related diploma program only as per the list of ITV/ /KGCE trade and related diploma programs.
