Mallabhum Institute of Polytechnic, established in 2014, is the affiliated college located at Bishnupur, West Bengal. The institute also organizes various types of tournaments, such as the Mallabhum Premier League, to encourage students to actively participate in sports. Well-equipped workshops for technical skill development are available with modern machinery like lathe machines, milling machines, and UTM. Wi-fi has been provided on the campus with 12 Mbps internet connectivity, which is accessibly available for students connected with online resources. Also, the hostel facilities are available at the institute in its campus for both boys and girls. It ensures comfortable accommodation, well-equipped with gymnasiums, common rooms, and dining halls.

Application Process
The application procedure in Mallabhum Institute of Polytechnic is a multi-step process:
1. JEXPO Registration: The candidates must register for the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics (JEXPO) on the website of the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education.
2. JEXPO Examination: The candidates must appear for the JEXPO exam on the given date. The exam typically consists of subjects such as Mathematics, Physical Science, and English.
3. Declaration of Results: The results are declared after the test and the candidates are awarded ranks depending on their performance.

5. Filling of Choices: The candidate should fill in the choices of the courses and institutes in order of preference. One of the options must be selected by MIP by the candidate.
6. Seat Allotment: Seats are allocated according to the rank and preferences of the candidate. If a seat in MIP is allocated, then the candidate will be required to accept the admission.

Degree wise Admission Process
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: It has 120 seats and is admitted through the general admission process through JEXPO. Candidates with a sound background in physics and mathematics will be suitable for this course. Admission is done on the rank basis in JEXPO and follow-up counseling.
Diploma in Civil Engineering: This diploma course also takes 60 seats of students through the JEXPO exam. Students interested in construction and infrastructure should take this course. Admission is based on JEXPO ranking and counseling.
Diploma in Electrical Engineering: It has 120 seats and is JEXPO-based admission. Candidates having a fascination for electrical circuits and systems will be suitable for this course. Admission will be based on the performance of the candidate in JEXPO and then by counseling.
Diploma in Computer Science and Technology: With 60 seats, the course is meant for students who are seeking the course of information technology. The admissions are made through JEXPO, wherein the selections are made on examination rank and counseling procedure.
Good infrastructure. All lab equipment are available in laboratory. Minimum 60 students can utilise the lab. Classroom are enough to all the students. Till our time there was no smart classes in our college.
