The college has a regular Health Center that does not exist, First aid and Emergency facilities are available to students. During any kind of medical/ health emergency, the doctor is immediately sent to attend to the students.
The college library which is 1664 sq. feet in built area operates between 9.30 to 5.30 pm. The ‘Open Access’ system in the library allows the users to effectively make use of 22508 books, journals, magazines, newspapers nearly 300 CDs, and DVDs related to various subjects. The OPAC system installed at the entrance of the library helps the stakeholders quickly browse and identify the available books. The ‘Competitive Corner’ in the library has books and printed material related to various competitive exams. The ‘Inflibnet’ allows students and teachers to access e-journals and e-study material. Computers are installed in the library so that students can make use of the internet in preparing assignments as well as for PowerPoint presentations.
The various sports teams of the college have participated in University, State as well as National level sports and have proved their mettle. The facilities provided for sports and games on the campus encourage the students to acquire physical fitness and sportsmanship. The students are encouraged to participate in sports such as kho kho, table tennis, basketball, softball, shuttle, hockey, Table Tennis, chess, and athletics. The college is proud of the fact that many of our students have brought laurels by winning, trophies and medals at various sports events.
The college has two computer labs with the latest facilities. The labs cater to the needs of the faculty too. There are 32 systems in all, dot matrix printers and other peripherals. One of them provides internet facilities to the students. The network connecting the computers is a great boon both to the faculty and students.
The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.
The college Alumni Association of the College plays a significant role in fostering the traditions of the institution. The members meet once a year on the college premises to renew old ties and also discuss their experience as well as the challenges involved in different professions. To ensure interaction between the students presently studying in the college and the alumni so that the direct experience of the alumni in various professional set-ups will be found useful through the mutual exchange of ideas. To impart the knowledge of new methods and techniques coming up in the field of education which can be useful to the prospective students.
The departments of Computer Science, Geography, and Commerce have well-equipped labs. There are more than 50 computers for the use of students. The Geography lab is equipped with an overhead projector, TV set, charts, models and wall maps, and mineral & rock specimens. Students can study the properties of minerals and rocks with special reference to their usage. They also study the commercial importance of minerals and rocks. There are two computer labs which have 32 systems in all, dot matrix printers and other peripherals systems with internet facility. Lab-1 and Lab-2 can accommodate 40 and 18 students respectively at a time. Apart from subject-related training, the computer labs allow access to students to use the systems to prepare for project work and PowerPoint presentations.
The NSS Unit of the college has been functioning effectively for the past three decades. The special camps held annually and weekend extension activities have included a sense of social responsibility among students. 28 camps have been successfully organized in various villages and mofussil areas so far. The NSS volunteers are oriented towards various aspects of community living and service to the community. The NSS unit of the college establishes a strong bond between students and teachers who are involved in weekend and annual camps. The Present NSS officer Prof. R Kemparaju has steered the NSS team successfully for several years.
The Career Guidance and Placement Cell plays a very important role in organizing career-related talks, mock tests, and interviews to help students to make the right decision in their choice of career. It coordinates company visits and supervises placement offers. The cell also takes suitable initiatives to organize Campus visits for students.
