Malwa Central College of Education for Wome, Ludhiana, was established in 1955 and is one of the prime women’s colleges of Punjab, India. This affiliated college is located at Civil Lines in Ludhiana and is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). It occupies a total of 14 acres of land hence, providing an appropriate learning environment. Pursuing its vision of academic excellence, the college has a total student strength of 483 students and teaching faculties of 18 members which make the college have a good student-teacher ratio. Malwa Central College of Education specialises in teacher training, offering two full-time courses, B.Ed and M.Ed and with the annual intake capacity of 300 students at large.

Malwa Central College of Education for Women provides two integrated courses in education. The proposes B.Ed course is a two-year full-time course and is approved for an intake capacity of two hundred and fifty students. The two-year full-time programme Master of Education (M.Ed) is offered to 50 seats. Both courses are aimed at producing competent professional ready to practice teaching and organisational skills in educational institutions. Such disciplinary strategies allow the college to offer intensive and directive programmes in the area of education. The institute offers 150 seats in each of the programmes and is directly responsible for determining the trends for the future of education.
