Malwa Central College of Education for Wome, Ludhiana, was established in 1955 and is one of the prime women’s colleges of Punjab, India. This affiliated college is located at Civil Lines in Ludhiana and is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). It occupies a total of 14 acres of land hence, providing an appropriate learning environment. Pursuing its vision of academic excellence, the college has a total student strength of 483 students and teaching faculties of 17 members which make the college have a good student-teacher ratio. Malwa Central College of Education specialises in teacher training, offering two full-time courses, B.Ed and M.Ed and with the annual intake capacity of 300 students at large.

Malwa Central College of Education for Women provides two integrated courses in education. The proposes B.Ed course is a two-year full-time course and is approved for an intake capacity of two hundred and fifty students. The two-year full-time programme Master of Education (M.Ed) is offered to 50 seats.

Malwa Central College of Education for Women believes in merit hence students get admitted to various levels depending on their marks in the qualifying examinations and/or entrance exams. While admitting the students to the B.Ed programme, the course follows the norms set by the state government, UT Administration & the university to which the college is affiliated to.
