Mangala Mahavidyalaya, Kakatpur is located in the District of Puri, Odisha. The institute was established in 1978 with the opening of intermediate classes in Arts stream which was affiliated to Utkal University and recognized by the Govt. of Odisha in the year 1980 and 1981 respectively. Subsequently, courses from Science and Commerce fields were also opened. Mangala Mahavidyalaya, Kakatpur are done on the basis of merit. Admission at institute is done through e-admission process by SAMS (Students Academic management system) which is completely monitored and regulated by the department of higher education, Govt of Odisha.

College Infrastructure
During our time the college infrastructure was not that much evolved. But nowadays it has improved. Mainly the academic area and the conditions of laboratories have shown great evolution with time .Now some classrooms have been converted into Smart classrooms also .
