The Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal which is commonly known as MCOPS Manipal was established in the year 1963. The institute is a constituent college of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal (MAHE). MCOPS is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). MCOPS is placed between 101 and 150 in the QS World University Rankings for Pharmacy and Pharmacology.

Meritorious students are offered MCOPS scholarships after meeting the eligibility criteria. MCOPS awards the Freeship, Scholar and Achiever Scholarship to deserving students admitted to the B.Pharma course at Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Candidates must note that the minimum eligibility criteria for the Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences scholarship is to obtain 80% in PCM/B in 12th.
Freeship and Scholar Scholarship put together constitute 5% of the general category intake and are applicable for the entire programme duration. This scholarship is applicable from the 1st year of the course whereas the Achiever Scholarship constitutes 5% of the general category intake (excluding Freeship & Scholar scholarship students) and is applicable from the beginning of 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year.
Therefore, this scholarship is based on annual academic performance. An important point is that there is no scholarship based on the last/final year. The minimum annual academic performance requirement to become eligible for this Achiever scholarship is an 8.0 CGPA.

The benefits of the Freeship, Scholar and Achiever Scholarship are as follows.
Free ship Scholarship involves 100% of the course fee payable
Scholar Scholarship involves a 20% waiver of the course fee
The college also offers Board Toppers Scholarships for Undergraduate (UG) Programmes for candidates from different boards, during their 12th standard examinations. This scholarship applies to students admitted in the general category only. The scholarship involves a 75% waiver of the course fee payable and is applicable for the entire duration of the course.
Scholarships for Academy of General Education Students (SAGES) are also available for B.Pharma students at Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. B.Pharma aspirants whose MET rank is between 1 – 1500 will get a 75% fee waiver. The minimum eligibility criteria for SAGES Scholarships (UG course) is that candidates must secure 70% aggregate in class 12th.

The facilities provided by our college are pretty good like classrooms , library facilities and the lab facilities . The campus is so spacious and clean with the nature friendly environment for the students .

Since I live close by, I won't use the hostel and mess facilities. But from what I know, hostels are very good, and they provide you with a lot of options based on your interest. If you want a single room or a room with or without an air-conditioner, then you can choose anything that suits your needs. The infrastructure of our college isn't much appealing because it's a bit old. Classrooms are very neat and clean, and they provide all the required facilities. Labs are also great.

The college does have all the necessities, from all the chemicals that are required for the efficient running of labs to all the equipments and are generally well maintained. Although talking about classroom maintenance, sometimes out of the blue projectors have stopped working and this has created some unnecessary nuances. The hostel facilities differ from hostel to hostel, whereas under my knowledge good facilities like daily necessities are available at door step for girls' hostels.

There is no entrance exam for getting admission into B.Pharmacy Lateral Entry in MCOPS Manipal. Admission is based on only merit obtained in qualifying exam.
Course Name: B.Pharma Lateral Entry
Duration: 3 Years
Total Fees: Rs. 8.35 Lakhs
Candidates must have passed Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognised College or University. The infrastructure facilities is good in the College and College environment is pleasant. The placement record is average in this College.
