Maulana Azad National Urdu University Polytechnic, Cuttack, is one of the new generation institutions for technical studies which was set up in the year 2018. It is a government polytechnic situated in Cuttack city of Odisha state and the institution occupies a small area of 5 acres. It is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) which keeps with the governmental standards of the country. Focusing on diploma programmes, the polytechnic presents four courses to meet the needs of the future engineers. At present, the institute has a faculty team of 6 members including highly dedicated faculty who are keen to cultivate the next generation of technical talent.

Maulana Azad National Urdu University Polytechnic, Cuttack, offers a total of four diploma programmes in full of course duration of three years each. Such programmes offered are in line with engineering disciplines through offering students proper foundational skills required on the engineering discipline of their interest. The intake capacity for the institute is 240 students for all courses offered while each course shall have an intake of 60 students. This makes a positive adjustment in term of student-faculty ratio that will favor personalised teaching and learning activities. The courses are Diploma on Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Automobile Engineering. 

The process for admission to Maulana Azad National Urdu University Polytechnic, Cuttack is easy and fair. The institute follows the tradition of holding an entrance examination every June which is the main avenue used to select students. This test measures the candidates’ ability and preparedness for technical education for which they are about to commence. Any intending students must pass this examination to gain admission into the polytechnic.
