MES College of Engineering and Technology, Kunnukara: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

MES College of Engineering and Technology Kunnukara (MESCET) is an esteemed college established in the year 2011. This affiliated college is in Ernakulam, Kerala, and they occupy 10.97 acres of space. MESCET is an AICTE-affiliated institution of higher learning in engineering disciplines to deliver quality education. A federally chartered college provides a variety of B.Tech programmes; the college has a total number of 5 courses under one degree. MESCET has a faculty strength of 50 dedicated professionals and strives to offer quality technical education. The institute offers a variety of specialisations like computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, artificial intelligence, and data science.

MESCET has many facilities today to serve students’ needs and has the amenities of a modern technological college. The college library is a big library of knowledge that contains more than 10050 technical books, 48 national and international journals, and more than 600 CDs/DVDs. Other e-learning resources, such as e-books, e-databases, and e-journals such as ASTM, J-Gate, IEEE, etc., are fully online and accessible from anywhere on campus at any time. The college hosts accommodate students separately for boys and girls at cheap prices, but outside the compound, but under the college’s management. The campus has an internet connection of 36 Mbps and is always active for the purposes of teaching, learning, and research. A good canteen prepares healthy meals and provides them at low costs to ensure that students can get good-quality meals and have a break area where they can socialise with their peers.

MES College of Engineering and Technology provides 5 full-time B.Tech. programmes in total. These include B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. The main emphasis is made on full-time training, which allows students to gain extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience. The total number of courses allowed in these courses is 240, of which various specialisations apply.

The admission requirements at MESCET are predominantly governed by the Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical Examination (KEAM). This state-level test is, in fact, taken into consideration throughout the admissions process for all the B.Tech courses running in the college. Admission to the college is challenging, and prospective students must pass KEAM and meet the following requirements. 

The training and placement cell of the college is primarily responsible for a proper student’s placement and to conduct placement programmes with the reputed organisations. The college has no specific information on scholarships; however, it also aims at helping out students where they can. MESCET’s alumni association greatly supports members in maintaining the tie among them through life so that wherever the members may be currently practicing their profession or studying will also be advantageous to current students and members in as much as they want to advance their studies.
