Affiliated college MG College was established in 1990 at Ranishwar Dumka, Jharkhand. Extended on 10-hectare plot of land, this institute has carried out the noble mission of moulding young generation for more than three decades now. As at the time this research work was carried out, the college was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), a mark of the college to offer quality education. The college currently has a student population of 2634 and a teaching staff of 34 to offer different under graduate programmes.
The college has state-of-the-art facilities that have been made available to support the learning process all around. A library is well endowed to be a source of knowledge, and it houses books and journals to enhance academic activities. If opted for sports and games, there are indoor games, outdoor games, and a gymnasium facility available in the college. With a sitting allowance of 150 students, the college auditorium acts as a creativity central for cultural programmes, seminars, and special lectures that enhance the student experiences on campus.

General BA, B.Sc, and B.Com: As well as the honouring programs, MG College also offers general degree courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce. The admission process for these programs is similar, considering the overall academic performance of the candidates in their 10+2 examinations.
