MGN Jalandhar Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Montgomery Guru Nanak College of Education, Jalandhar (MGN Jalandhar) is one of the oldest educational institutions in Punjab. The college focuses mainly on teacher education, and it is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). MGN Jalandhar has a full-fledged admission process for aspiring educators, with emphasis on merit-based admission, thereby ensuring the superior quality of teacher training.The admission process of MGN Jalandhar selects the best candidates for their educational programs. Admission is based on the marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examinations as the principal criteria. This is in concurrence with policies set forth by the government of the state, UT Administration, and also affiliated universities.

Degree-Wise Admission Process

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education): B.Ed. program offered by MGN Jalandhar is the most famous among teacher-aspirants. The admission to this program is done on the basis of merit taking into considerations the marks of the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college follows the admission policy framed by the government of the state and UT Administration and the affiliated university (GGS, LU Jammu). This program is approved for 200 students' intake, making it one of the major program offerings for the institution.

M.Ed. (Master of Education): For M.Ed., the same principle of merit-based admissions is followed by MGN Jalandhar. The students are selected on the basis of varying criteria such as marks obtained in the qualifying examination, in any entrance examination, or any other modality of selection policy as determined by the state government, university, or UT Administration. The latter is intended for those with the ambition of enhancing their expertise in education for taking on higher responsibilities within this field.
