MTM College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Malappuram Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college library has an excellent collection of books, journals, magazines, and digital resources, It also includes a special collection of literature. The library, which started as a small classroom when the college opened in 2014, now stands on three floors and covers an area of more than 3,000 square feet. It also has a collection of more than 4000 books. Currently, the library has a spacious interior with a large reading area to accommodate 150 students at a time. The books are bar-coded, and students and staff of the college also have a membership card with a bar-code. This facility improves the accuracy and speed of various jobs in the library such as IN/ OUT of users, Issue/return of books, and stock verification.

College has well-structured classrooms. The whole campus including classrooms is Wi-Fi enabled. So the students and teachers can use Wi-Fi to connect their PCs and smartphones. It helps the Learners as well as their studies and also in their research purposes. The classrooms are located in the Main Building and in the New Block. In both buildings, there are a total of 27 classrooms excluding labs. Each classroom has an area of 20x20 sq. ft.

The Department of Computer Science has a wide range of computing resources and laboratories available to support its educational and research missions. It coordinates the acquisition, maintenance, and operation of the computing equipment and network services. It is fully ICT-enabled. The lab is located on the second floor of the Main Block. The lab can accommodate about 50 students. In addition, the department has several high-end shared-memory multiprocessor computer servers, file servers, G-Suite, and multimedia facilities. Students access this infrastructure for several different purposes.

The College has a spacious, fully furnished and well-ventilated canteen, with separate seating sections for staff and students. Hygienic and homely food is made available at reasonable rates. 

The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides The hostel has had a significant role since its inception in empowering women and nurturing their talent and it plays a significant and magnanimous role in taking care of affordable accommodation, at least in the first year. The Hostel encourages academic excellence, a multifaceted personality, and invaluable unity in diversity. Accommodation on campus for distant students is now a massively expanded institution with 100 students from various districts and localities.

Parking is an important aspect of any college campus life. Students often struggle to find a spot for their cars and bikes while they’re away at school. Parking is always an issue, but MTM College has a lot of free and open spaces on our campus specifically allocated for parking. A lot of vehicles can be parked at a time. Students, Teachers, and staff are its beneficiaries.  

Sports & Cultural Village is a specific sports endeavor at the college. It is tucked in the small village of Veliyancode and brings you the best-in-class sports and fitness facilities for an active and healthy life. It intends to provide a platform to enrich the community by bringing them together and planning a vibrant array of activities and shared interests. The Village is 3 acres of the facility with all the outdoor and indoor sports facilities, cafes, library, auditorium, kids’ areas, and freedom to organize events of the members’ taste and interests.

The Fitness Centre under the physical education department has a spacious multi-gymnasium having training equipment like a Bench press parallel, Bench press elevator; Reverse pec deck, Barbell and weights, Weight lifting set, Yoga mat, Abs-crunch machine, t bar, and Squat machine. Both students and staff of the college can avail the facilities. The MTM College has a Multipurpose Gymnasium.

The Alumni Association actively participates in the college's development activities. Through central, regional, and departmental Alumni Associations, as well as small and informal group alumni meetings. 

The placement cell organizes career guidance programs for all the students starting from the first year. AMASE is the initiative program by the placement cell for the students preparing for competitive exams. The cell arranges training programs like mock interviews, group discussions, communication skill workshops, etc, and also organizes public sector exam training for students who are interested in joining government sectors.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.
