MGAC Vellore: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

MGAC Vellore is one of the pioneering self-financing institutions in the state of Tamil Nadu, situated in Vellore, was started in the year of 1965. Being NAAC accredited and approved by the AICTE, this co-educational college offers a wide spectrum of undergraduate & postgraduate courses. Situated in a vast area of 32.3 acres, MGAC has a total enrolment of 3,986 and faculties and staffs 87. The college has 62 degree programmes in total with concentrations in Arts, Sciences and Management. MGAC enrolment is 57% Male and 43% Female students with 85 % undergraduate and 15% post graduate.

MGAC Vellore also has up to date facilities to facilitate the learning of the students in order to produce efficient and effective graduates. The library with the necessary literature is available, as well as departmental and scientific laboratories with practical exercises. Extra curricular activities are also encouraged and facilities available are good having a basketball court and a gym. The college has auditoriums to help host events and seminars thus giving the college an active campus life. With regards to feeding, a cafeterias provided to meet the required and desired food needs of the students and other members of staffs, while at the same time improving the student interaction and fellowship.

The programmes offered by MGAC are 41 undergraduate courses, 18 postgraduate courses, and other M.Phil and Ph.D. courses. With an aggregated student enrolment of 3,698, MGAC guarantees educational services in various fields. The courses offered include BA in Tamil, Economics, B.Sc In Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Zoology, B.Com, BBA and so on.

MGAC being a merit based admission process usually starts in May- June for the academic year that starts in July- August. The college offers the options for students based on their scores in different state and national level entrance exams. MGAC also provides scholarships to learners willing to grabbing the opportunity and many students have been fortunate to receive scholarship.
