Nadar Saraswathi College of Education, Theni, Tamil Nadu, affilited in the year 2005. The facility is a co-educational one, recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for the education of teachers. Located at a small area of 0.86 of an acre, the college has more focused programmes in education level though it admits a total number of 199 students. The institute provides two full-time degree programmes: Bachelors in Education (B.ED) & Masters in Education (M.ED.) to meet the needs of the education seekers at the under graduate & post graduate level.

Nadar Saraswathi College of Education, has invested in a variety of facilities whose purpose is to complement students’ learning experience. It stocks about 7000 volumes and 20 periodicals after a policy of open access with state-of-the-art computerisation. The specially outfitted laboratories reflect its curriculum; Physical Science, Biological Science, Computer and Mathematics. Modern Language Lab with 32 booths offers students the necessary tools for interactive learning process. The college also has a fully air conditioned fully computerised seminar hall that has state-of-art audio visual-aids for digital presentation system and multimedia projectors for use both for its departmental programmes and common programmes of inter collegiate rivalry.

Nadar Saraswathi College of Education currently has only two courses in its portfolio, both being the regular, full time ones. The course intake in B.Ed programme is 100 seat and in M.Ed programme is 50 seats, which are already approved. These programmes are basically aimed to pave avenue for students to gain sound education that imbue them with ability to become excellent teachers/educational administrators.

In Nadar Saraswathi College of Education, admission process is carried out based on the University and Government of Tamil Nadu norms. Concerning the B.ED programme, admission will be giving based on the candidate’s qualification whereby the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and or entrance examination or any other means that may be determined by the state government and University regulations. Masters of Education programme also follows the current polices on of candidate admission. This is because while the general course examinations are outlined there is lacking information regarding specific examination dates Prospective students are advised to check the college website frequently or contact the admission department directly to get up-to-date information on the application deadline and examinations.

The college has a separate hostels for boys and girls with the capacities of accommodating 400 students each. The hostels provide decent accommodation that has separate chairs and cots for the students, clean dining halls and the mess primarily serves both veg and non veg nutritious food. Arrangements for medical check-ups are made time to time; indoor and outdoor games facilities are also provided for health improvement of the students. Also, the college owns 23 buses and 1 van to transport the students and members of staff from different areas within and outside the town to ease their access to the college.
