Nadar Saraswathi College of Engineering and Technology(for women), started in 2010 -21 is an affiliated college situated at Theni, Tamil Nadu. Nadar Saraswathi College of Engineering and Technology has a corridor of specialised amenities to improve the learning process and personal growth of the learners. They include state – of – art laboratories, well – furnished class rooms, hi-tech computerised Library with large numbers of Indian as well as foreign journals, having membership of Digital library and INDEST– IEL. To improve on their physical abilities, the college has volleyball, basketball, handball courts, football, cricket and a tracks and fields. The IT infrastructure is robust, with a campus-wide LAN, a 1:2.The current density is 4: computer to student, and the broadband leased line is 2 Mbps. Comfortable hostel for students, a large cafeteria and well developed transport services with more than eighty buses to cover different areas of the town.
Overall, the institute has a total of 9 courses where, 6 are undergraduate (BE/B.Tech) and 3 are postgraduate (ME) courses. All undergraduate courses are full time courses- BE Mechanical Engineering ,B.Tech Information technology and BE civil engineering etc, and takes four years to complete. The total approved intake as per requirement of the institute has been sanctioned to admit 753 students only. In the last completed academic year, 86 of 133 graduating student got placements at NSCET with average starting salary of Rs 2.40 Lakhs per annum.
NSCET has centralised admissions procedure for most of its undergraduate programmes through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). In case of B.E/B.Tech courses, entrance test for TNEA is conducted and norms and standard set by the university to be fulfilled by the students. The TNEA 2024 application process ends on the 6 th of June in 2024 and the rank list would be announced on date 10 th of July 2024. In case of the M.E/M.Tech programmes, candidates are required to meet the qualifying percentage in the previous examinations.
