Nasra College of Arts and Science, Malappuram Admission Process

Nasra College of Arts and Sciences, Malappuram, has a formal and merit-based admission procedure for its various undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Being a constituent college of the University of Calikut, the college adheres to the admission policy and time table of the university. The Calicut University Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) admits all courses taught by Nasra College to maintain transparent and equitable selection of the candidates.

Admission process is generally on the lines of the University of Calicut academic calendar with applications usually coming out within the couple of months following the announcement of 12th standard results.

Eligibility criteria for admission to the undergraduate courses are generally a pass in 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a well-known board. For postgraduate courses, a candidate must have studied and passed out their bachelor degree in the concerned subject from a well-known university. Subject-specific requirements and percentage criteria may differ with the course of study undertaken.

Application Procedure

The process of applying for all the courses of Nasra College of Arts and Science, Malappuram, is as follows:

1. Online Registration: All the candidates are required to mandatorily register online on the Calicut University Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) website.

2. Filling the Application Form: The candidates are required to fill the online application form with correct personal and academic information.

3. Uploading Documents: Scanned documents of the documents listed like academic certificates, mark sheets, and other certificates if required have to be uploaded as per the guidelines given.

4. Application Fee Payment: The application fee as per the university is to be paid by the applicants using the online payment gateway.

5. Online Application Submission: Once all the fields have been completed by the candidates and checked, the candidates need to submit their applications online.

6. Generation of Merit List: Merit lists are created by the university based on the provided criteria for each course.

7. Allotment and Admission: Seats are allotted to the candidates based on merit and preference. The admitted candidates should report to Nasra College for document verification and admission procedure within the stipulated time period.

8. Confirmation of Admission: Upon payment of fee and verification of documents, the admission is confirmed.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Com: Computer Applications, Finance, and Cooperation specializations B.Com courses are offered by Nasra College under the CAP of Calicut University. The applicants should have a 10+2 in Commerce or allied courses. The approved intake of the college is 50 each for B.Com Computer Applications and B.Com Finance and 40 for B.Com Cooperation.

BBA: Admission process for BBA course of Nasra College is also CAP. Any 10+2 stream student can apply. BBA has sanctioned intake of 40 seats.

BA: BA English Language and Literature, Sociology, and Foreign Trade courses are available in the college. Admission process is CAP-based and intake of each course is 40 seats. Eligibility is generally 10+2 in any stream and necessary subjects are course-wise.

BCA: The sanctioned strength of BCA course is 36. Admission is CAP, and the candidate should have passed 10+2 with Mathematics as the subject.

M.Com: Candidates for M.Com Finance course need to apply under the CAP of Calicut University. The minimum requirement is a bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent. The sanctioned strength of the course is 50 seats.

MA: The college provides an MA in Sociology with a strength of 50 seats. Admission would most probably be CAP-based
