NSI Kanpur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a boy’s hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. These hostels can accommodate more than 400 students. Each hostel has its own common/TV room, mess, and dining hall. The hostels are surrounded by lawns and the area is full of greenery and pollution-free. There is a special technical library for students in the R.C. Srivastava hostel. Each hostel has its own computer room with an internet facility.

The college has a Gym facility for the students. The Gymkhana has a say in the policy and decision-making bodies of the institute with student-related activities. It is responsible for organizing events on day to day basis and also the annual functions relating to cultural, sports, and scientific activities. The facilities are also enjoyed by the faculty members creating better teacher-taught contact and relations. The Gymkhana also organizes district and zonal sports meet on behalf of the "Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee (CGEWCC)"

The college has a Centralized Library in college that has been established over an area of about 4500 square feet with a facility of a centralized air conditioning system. The Library is having over eight thousand books and around five thousand periodical journals including the various handbooks on Sugar Technology, Sugar Engineering, and its related field with a facility of Library Automation. In addition to these soft copies of proceedings of various conventions, seminars and workshops are also available. The students have a facility for using Xerox Machine.

The college has a common indoor stadium having facilities for the following -Badminton court, Table tennis, Carom boards, Chess, There is a common basketball court and separate volleyball court for each hostel. Apart from this, there is a playground for outdoor games.

The college has a computer center that has been developed in the institute facilitating 35 students at one time. All the computers in the computer center are having next-generation i-series processors with the latest operating system of Windows i.e Windows 8.1 professional. The center is also provided with students' optical fiber-based internet provided by National Knowledge Network. The center is designed to keep in view to provide Auto-Cad and Language Lab to impart the latest technology with the latest technique. A batch of 35 students can be accommodated in the computer center at a time.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has an alumni association. The Alumni or Old Boys have a very special role in the development of the institute to guide us in enhancing the spectrum of activities. They are also role model for the new students to see their future through our old boys. The alumni are also the ambassadors to the corporate world where they continue to bring laurels to the Institute through their performance in chosen fields.
