The Institute of pharmacy under the NCRD was set up in 2004 and located in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. This accompanied institution is PCI & AICTE approved, which is a college especially for pharmacy education. At the academic level, the Institute of Pharmacy at NCRD offers only three courses at present, which is D.Pharma, B.Pharma, M.Pharma. It has the capacity to admit 60 students for this programme, and this is well illustrated by the institute’s commitment to do everything possible to ensure that the student-to faculty ratio remains small enough to ensure quality interaction with the students. The course offered in NCRD’s Institute of Pharmacy over a six and one half-year academic period aims at total personality development of the students by equipping them with both bookish knowledge and practical experience in order to make them competent for the challenging tasks in the pharmaceutical industry.

NCRD's Institute of Pharmacy is one of the foremost institutions that provide quality education in pharmaceutical science. NCRD's Institute of Pharmacy admission process designed to select deserving candidates for any pharmacy programmes of the institute. The institute of pharmacy is PCI approved and provides pharmacy courses at ratio of diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels.
The admission procedure for NCRD's Institute of Pharmacy begins with the notification of applications available for different courses. The institute mainly depends upon centralised admission processes conducted by the state authorities. For undergraduate and diploma courses, admissions are undertaken through the CAP managed by Admission Regulating Authority and Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra.
The eligibility criteria vary with the programme. For D.Pharma and B.Pharma programmes, a candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The selection is done on the basis of merit list prepared by the DTE, Maharashtra.
In case of M.Pharma programmes, candidates generally must have a B.Pharma degree from any recognised university. NCRD's Institute of Pharmacy admission to M.Pharma programmes may consider Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) scores.

The institute follows a structured admission process to ensure transparency and accessibility for aspiring students. Below is a degree-wise breakdown of the eligibility criteria, application procedure, and selection process.
D.Pharma ,NCRD's Institute of Pharmacy has received approval to conduct the D Pharma course by allowing the college to award D. Pharma degree to an aggregate total of 60 students spread across three batches in the current academic year. The admission process would be through centralised process as stipulated by DTE, Maharashtra or Admission Regulating Authority. And Admission will be purely on merit basis through details hosted at DTE, Maharashtra website.
The approved intake capacity for the programme of Bachelor of Pharmacy B. Pharma is 60 students. NCRD's Institute of Pharmacy admissions for this course take place through CAP, conducted by the DTE, Maharashtra. This is purely a merit-based procedure, as the admissions take place strictly according to the results obtained in the qualifying examination along with other prescribed eligibility criteria followed by the DTE.
The admitted strength of M. Pharma in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance postgraduate course is 15 students, hence it would be assumed that NCRD's Institute of Pharmacy admission procedure considers GPAT scores and DTE, Maharashtra guidelines.
