NSUT East Campus has well-designed academic buildings with spacious classrooms, lecture halls, and seminar rooms. These buildings house various departments, laboratories, and faculty offices. The campus library is a treasure trove of knowledge, offering a vast collection of books, journals, and research papers.
Academic aspects at Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) East Campus. B.Tech Programs: NSUT East Campus offers B.Tech and M. Tech programs in the following specializations: Computer Science and Engineering Electronics and Communication
NSUT East Campus has a dedicated placement cell that actively works to connect students with job opportunities. The placement cell collaborates with companies, organizes recruitment drives, and assists students in securing internships and full-time positions.
NSUT East Campus offers competitive fees compared to other engineering institutions. The cost of education is reasonable, especially considering the quality of education and infrastructure.
The campus houses well-designed academic buildings with classrooms, lecture halls, and seminar rooms. Students attend lectures, workshops, and practical sessions in these spaces.
Students engage in academic pursuits, cultural events, and sports. The campus fosters a holistic learning environment.
The labs and facilities at NSUT East campus have significantly improved since its conversion from AIACTR, which was affiliated to GGSIPU. The CSE Department Labs have been upgraded with new computers and systems, but the ECE labs haven't undergone many changes. It's possible that they will modify the ECE labs in the coming years by replacing old, defective devices with the latest equipments. The library is excellent and well-equipped with useful books.
I completed my B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from 2019 to 2023. Somewhere between 2020 and 2021, my college shifted its affiliation from GGSIPU to NSIT and became NSUT East campus. Although my curriculum was that of GGSIPU, I didn't know much about the course curriculum that NSUT followed. However, I noticed that most students were hardworking and spent a lot of time studying and preparing notes in the library. The teaching faculties were highly qualified, although some of them seemed frustrated at times. Nonetheless, if someone has enough patience, they can be very useful in terms of academics.
Placements here are not great, but students are allowed to sit in the placement drive of the main campus. Although placement primarily depends on your skill sets and consistent hard work in that direction.
Based on my opinion, this college is only beneficial if it's close to your home. This way, you can save travelling time and can focus on your studies and also get time for other activities.
If you are seeking a vibrant campus life, this college may not meet your expectations. You may prefer the main campus instead. But one thing I observed is when you visit the east campus, you'll notice a stark contrast between the surroundings inside and outside. The interior is full of greenery and trees
While the overall infrastructure meets the basic requirements, it's still worth noting that some laboratories still house older equipment. Despite this, the computer labs have undergone significant improvement with the recent addition of new computers. The present Wi-Fi infrastructure, requires attention to address the issues with speed and reliability. The hygienic standards of the food in the canteen do meet the acceptable level. However, the small size of the canteen may lead to congestion during peak hours.
I am pursuing a degree in Computer Science and Engineering. The quality of teaching in my program is varied, with a mix of dedicated educators who are deeply engaged in teaching the subjects, while others may adopt a more superficial approach. I believe that the curriculum is reasonably updated, incorporating subjects relevant to the field. While the curriculum covers the relevant topics, but becoming job-ready only comes from practical exosure.
I believe the quality of placements at the college is good. The highest salary package offered was about 52LPA, for the role of Software Developer Engineer(SDE). The average package for placements stood at around 14LPA.
The annual cost for my course is almost 200k. Originally, it started at about 140k+ per year, but there has been a yearly increase in the fees. To be honest, I don't believe I am getting my money's worth, considering the current state of infrastructure and facilities. The quality seems average and falls short of justify the hefty fee of 200k.
The college encourages extracurricular involvement, providing the students with opportunities to engage in a variety of activities, including sports and cultural events.
Worst!!! The washrooms , the building, the activities room, the labs, everything here needs an upgrade. The amount students are paying is huge so they deserve better infrastructure and facilities at campus.
Below average. The faculties cancel the class most of the times and they are not enthusiastic about their subjects. They don't like to teach anything but they want us to attend every class and have maximum attendance.
The placement record for this college is now known yet as we would be the 2nd batch who'll be places from this college but I don't think it's going to be great as the internship record was also not very pleasing.
overall its good with spacious classrooms and labs. the gardens are nice. there is a well maintained libraries which a good resource hub. Hostels are going to be built. there is a auditorium for holding various cultural and educational activities.
the college encourage the students to engage in projects and internships to build their engineering career. The academics is good with well qualified teachers and there are smart classrooms with projectors to help the students learn better.
there is not 100% placements in the college. However there are well qualified teachers and mentors who guide for the placements and help in the projects and research papers which are helpful for the placements.
the total cost was was too much around 9 lakhs for a course. I don't think it was worth it but it was overall good because the professors encourage you to participate in research and projects which helps for the internships and placements.
the campus life was amazing. you get many opportunities to participate in hackathons and be a part of projects and write research papers. We get to meet new people and improve our learning experience.
