Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College was established in the year 1957. The institution was formerly known as “Nallamuthu Gounder Municipal College”. The institute is also known as NGM College. Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College was granted autonomy status in the year 1987. NGM College is affiliated to the Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College Coimbatore is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi and is recognised by the University Grants Commission.
