Normal School and is one of the oldest institutes of learning in Silchar, Assam. The government trainer institute under it conducts a course: Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). The National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi has accredited this institution at the national level hence excellence prevails in teacher education.
