Oxford College of Education, Gurgaon Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

The Oxford College of Education, which is situated in Gurgaon, college recognized by a statutory regulatory body called the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Admissions at Oxford College of Education are conducted on a purely merit basis as per the policies of the state government, the UT administration, and the concerned university with admissions held to select the deserving candidates. For undergraduate courses like B.Ed, the eligibility criteria state that the applicant shall have had his/her bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification from any recognized university. 

Admissions are made on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination as per the State Government guideline currently in practice. Postgraduate programs such as M.Ed expect the candidates to have completed their bachelor's degree from the education field (B.Ed) or any equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the government. For admission into M.Ed, selection may be made through the performance of the candidate in the qualifying examination, entrance test, or any other process laid down by the governing policies.

Application Process

1. The candidate is supposed to visit the official website of the College for downloading the application form and getting the admission guidelines.

2. The candidate registers filling his/her application in a form of personal and academic information.

3. The amount for the application fee should be paid through any of the prescribed modes of payment.

4. The completed application form should be accompanied by the following documents: Passport size photographs, Mark sheets of qualifying examinations - (10th, 12th, and Bachelor's degree for B.Ed; B.Ed degree for M.Ed), ID proof, Category certificate if applicable, and any other documents stated by the college.

5. For B.Ed admissions, the candidate must prepare for and take the entrance exam as indicated in the admission policy that will be in effect.

6. For M.Ed admissions, candidates must prepare to undergo any additional selection processes that the governing policies may stipulate.

7. Document verification and counselling may have to be taken up for shortlisted candidates.

8. Upon selection, the candidate will complete the admission process along with the payment of fees and submission of original documents for verification.

Admission Procedure according to Degree

B. Ed (Bachelor of Education): The B.Ed course at Oxford College of Education, Gurgaon comprises 100 seats for admission. This is the basis for granting admission in the B.Ed course on merit as determined by marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination and defined by policy of the state government, UT administration and the university to which it is affiliated. It is a full-time, two-year course designed to prepare students for teaching careers at secondary and higher secondary levels.

M.Ed (Master of Education): The M.Ed program in Oxford College of Education has a sanctioned intake of 50 students. Like in the case of B.Ed, admission for M.Ed is based on merit list generated through qualifying examination (either B.Ed or equivalent), entrance examination, or any other process under government, university, or UT administration policy. It is a two-year full-time program meant to groom upcoming educational leaders, researchers, and teacher educators.
