Pandian Saraswathi Yadav Engineering College is one among the prestigious engineering academic institute located at Sivagangai, Tamil Nadu, India which was started in the year 2000. It is a women’s college approved by the AICTE and the college is als affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai providing various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. With a total area of 60 acres, PSYEC has an enrolment strength of 633 students in total and 90 faculty members.
The college provides 15 courses in two degree levels and focusing on such fields of engineering as computer science, electronics and communication, mechanical, information technology, etc. PSYEC being an aspiring institution committed to afford quality education and industry relevant courses has carved its niche in the region.
The PSYEC Sivagangai boasts of possessing some of the most modern facilities endeared to improving the learning ability of the learners. The college is equipped with well equipped laboratories that enable our students to get practical experience in all fields. A strong information technology support helps students get acquainted with modern technology and software to become fitted into the modern society. This large dining hall is also a common place for conversations; students can have breakfast, lunch or dinner, as well as buy some healthy snacks.
The current auditorium is used in organizing both academic and cultural taken in the compound to enhance the campus life. There are also medical facilities for students on homesickness and a first-rate gym on the territory of PSYEC. Accommodating more than 25000 volume and 110 journals it fulfills the role of a knowledge center for both the students and the faculty. For those that will need to live in the college, there are we have a hostel facility for both male and female students that contain all the modern facilities for proper accommodation.
The college provides necessary and sufficient engineering courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. PSYEC at the undergraduate level continues to offer 11 B.E./B.Tech programs where the most sought after by students are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The postgraduate programs include five M.E /M.Tech programs in areas of specialization as follows Communication Systems, Power Electronics and Drives, Computer Science and Engineering. All programmes are delivered in full-time phase and the duration of the undergraduate programmes is four whereas the duration of the postgraduate programmes is two.

The admission process at PSYEC Sivagangai is made broader and merit based. For the undergraduate programmes, the aspirants have to attend the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling. CEETA-PG or GATE are the entry tests used for the admission of post graduate students. Thus, undergraduate candidates who completed their 10+2 level with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as their main subjects are welcome to apply for admission to the college. For postgraduate programs they require a valid engineering degree from a recognized university in any engineering field.
PSYEC operates within the framework of the academic years of Anna University and normally opens its admission in June/July for the August academic year.
