Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Adarsha Mahavidyalaya, Dalgaon Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college library consists of a spacious reading area for teachers and students alike. More than 3000 textbooks and reference books fill up the shelves and new books are constantly being added. The college has registered the National Digital Library Club (NDLI Club). Besides, the college subscribes to the daily newspapers and two periodicals.

The college has four smart classrooms equipped with digital interactive panels, projectors, audio systems, and an active internet facility that provides advanced teaching-learning processes and mechanisms.

The five major departments of the college, namely Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics and Zoology have five well-equipped laboratories furnished with modern equipment. These are large enough to accommodate a class of 30-40 students at one time for conducting practical. Practical examinations are also conducted at the college as per the permission and guidelines of Gauhati University and AHSEC, Guwahati.

The college has a volleyball court and a football ground where the students spend their recreational hours playing. Besides, there are such indoor games facilities as chess, carrom and table tennis. Sports gears for all the sports are also available. The playground also has a cricket pitch where students and teachers like to play after college hours.

The college has a Computer Centre fully equipped with 20 nos. of Intel 7th Generation Core i3 (7100) desktops and latest software with an environment to implement and experiment knowledge acquired in the classroom. All the systems are connected to BSNL fibre/ JIO Air fibre broadband internet facility.

The College Eco Club of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Adarsha Mahavidyalaya, Dalgaon was established in the year 2018 under the Assam Science Technology & Environment Council (ASTEC) supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEFCC). The programs and various Eco Club activities are conducted under the project “National Green Crop Programme” supported by MoEFCC and a fixed amount of Rs. 5000/- is sanctioned as a one-time grant in a year for conducting different activities.

The College gymnasium consists of treadmills and other gym equipment. The college football team has successfully participated ina  District level event organized by the District Administration, Darang.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has a well-equipped, fully furnished girls’ hostel. It is secured with boundary walls on all sides and is located within the college campus along with the teachers’ quarters. Application forms for hostel admission can be collected from the college office and handed over to the appointed office attendant after admission into the college. The list of selected boarders will be finalized by the college and hostel authorities based on merit. No seat can be reserved prior to admission.

The college has an open-air stage meant for organizing cultural, annual, and other programs. It has the capacity to accommodate around 500 spectators comfortably at a time.

The college has Extra-Curricular activity facilities for all students.
