The Panimalar Polytechnic Technical College was started in the year 1986 and it is one of the renowned technical colleges in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Located at Railway Colony 2nd Street, Aminjikarai, the 30-year-old co-educational institution is dedicated to moulding future engineers. Currently, PPTC occupies a total space of 3.3 acres, which provides a good environment for learning. It currently has a total student enrolment of 1,479 and faculty of 61, which makes for a proper student-faculty ratio. PPTC has four diploma courses that cut across the engineering field, hence giving students an opportunity to chase their engineering dreams.

College Infrastructure
The infrastructure is well-maintained with clean classroom, decent library and washrooms. Basic facilities like hostel and transport are satisfactory. Sports and recreational amenities are also good with a pleasant experience.

Due to an outbreak of corona virus all educational institutions were closed since March 16th in accordance with norms of nationwide lockdown due to which almost entrance exams and related activities were postponed till further notice.
