The college has all the equipment necessary to give us hands on practical experience. But the classrooms are a little congested. The air-conditioners work in selective rooms and the projectors in the classrooms are problematic sometimes. The washrooms are unhygienic.
I'm studying bachelors in dentistry. The teaching is pretty good. We have a few really good professors but some are unreasonable. That puts students under unnecessary stress. The curriculum is what the dental council decides.. So it isn't upto the college to change or modify. But the practical experience we get here does make us job-ready.
We don't have anything called placements as such. Since ours is a professional course, most people opt for masters. But if we have to talk about the knowledge and experience, then we do get enough of it here to go out and practice.
My course costs 4.2 lakhs per year (B category seat) excluding the additional charges for equipment every now and then. It definitely is a lot. The infrastructure or the experience.. Nothing is worth the huge amounts of money we pay.
The campus is definitely not like the one we think of when we hear "College life or Campus life" . It is safe. But we are always being watched by professors. So we are always being judged by someone. Students can engage in badminton, basket ball and coffee ?(we have a ccd in the college)
I would say that I have been lucky enough to find a good set of friends that make college a lot more tolerable. Anybody that's willing to come here should be ready to withstand pressure because it is a professional course and the people here are not always good.
Hello aspirant,
It is difficult to secure a seat in BDS with the mentioned rank. However, you can apply in private colleges as the cut off is slightly lower there. The fee structure ranges from 15 lacs-25 lacs per anum.
All the best!
Hello aspirant,
After analysing previous year cutoffs trend, at your rank it will be difficult for you to get government seat or private colleges for BDS in Hyderabad in general category. However you have chances to get admission in BDS in Meghana Institute of Dental Science, Nizamabad under Management quota only.
But remember that cutoffs changes every year due to various factors such as number of students participated in counselling, number of students attempted exam, difficulty level of exam, reservations and more. You can also try BDS in other private colleges and deemed universities in other states.
Hope you get some clarification.
Hello student,
Actually the fee structure varies institute to institute. As per you have not mention the college name it is quite difficult for us to tell all MDS colleges fee structure. But in general the fee structure of MDS can between 6k to 5lakhs.
