Patna Science College, Patna Facilities
Patna Science College has adequate infrastructure like hostel, library, laboratories, lecture halls, etc which helps the students to have a hassle-free learning experience throughout their college life. It also provides facilities to the students like sports, canteen, gymnasium, etc. in order to give them a break from the regular academic schedule they follow. Students can avail these facilities in their free time for their recreation. Other facilities like internet, parking facilities are also available for the students.
- Hostels: The Institute has separate hostels for boys and girls. The Hostel Canteen serves nutritious and healthy food cooked under hygienic conditions
- Library: The Library has a mixed collection of both print and electronic format, which include books, journals, databases, CDs/DVDs, e-journals, reports, etc.
- Gymnasium: The institution has a gymnasium which has all the latest equipment for the students to remain fit. Instructors and trainers are present at the gymnasium to train the students.
- Sports: The College provides both indoor and outdoor games facilities for the students. The institute has maintained cricket, football ground, tennis court, etc.
- Lecture Halls: The College has lecture halls for the students and faculty that can be used by the students for the better learning and by the teachers to provide new ways of teaching.
- Laboratories: The Institute has laboratories for each department for the students to have practical knowledge of what they learn.
- Canteen: Canteen is available at the College premises that serves food to the students and faculty at a reasonable price.
- Boys Hostel
The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.
- Girls Hostel
The college has a girl's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.
- Gym
The college provides a Gym facility with good equipment.
- Library
The college has rules related to the college library may be seen on the notice board of the college. The library functions on all working days. It has a separate reference section/Journals section and a reading room. The number of books in the library: Eleven Thousand. The total number of educational Journals and Periodicals being subscribed: Journals – More than fifteen, Periodicals – 3 Number of encyclopedias available in the library: 28Seating capacity of the reading room of the library: 100.
- Sports
The college has Sports play a pivotal role in shaping one’s personality and maintaining good health. All of which are provided to them on the campus.
- Cafeteria
The college has A canteen run by an outside agency with a menu and rates fixed by the committee of the college for the purpose. The committee apart from the overall supervision also conducts periodical inspections so that students get quality items at reasonable rates.
- Alumni Associations
The college has a good networking for the alumni association.
- Laboratories
The College has twelve well-equipped laboratories, which are located in Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Physics, and Zoology Departments. Geology Department has four laboratories while each other department has two laboratories.
- Parking Facility
A limited parking facility is available for students/teachers/office staff and visitors.
- Auditorium
The college has a well-equipped air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 175 people.
- I.T Infrastructure
The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.
- Medical/Hospital
The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has computer labs with internet access, helping students with assignments and research. Recreational facilities include sports fields and courts for games like cricket, football, and volleyball. Additionally, the college has seminar halls and an auditorium for guest lectures, events, and presentations. Basic student amenities such as a cafeteria, hostels for outstation students, and health facilities are also available. While the infrastructure is more traditional than that of private institutions, College also offers a functional setup well-suited to science education, fostering an environment of quality learning.
great academics but average placement
College Infrastructure
College has spacious classrooms and good computer lab but sports ground is very limited. The college provide hostel which is a positive point but I also felt that there was lack of maintainace. Library is okay.

College Infrastructure
The infrastructure of patna University is one of the best infrastructure. The college have very modern facilities, library well maintained classrooms, adavance computer labs and labs as well they are updating the structure.
