Pazhassi Raja NSS College Mattanur, Kannur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College Men’s hostel has established in the year 1970 with the financial assistance of UGC. It has been converted into a sports hostel (Volleyball) in the year 1977. The hostel is having 46 rooms with an intake capacity of 100 students. At present, there are 15 volleyball players residing in the hostel under the financial assistance of the Kerala State Sports Council. Since the number of players is meager many students other than sports and few staff members in the college are also staying in the hostel. All rooms are very spacious and equipped with sufficient furniture.  

The college offers an on-campus residential facility for girls students and staff at the women’s hostel. At present, the hostel has 25 rooms with an intake capacity of 50 students. The rooms are sufficiently spacious and furnished with a bed, table, and other basic requirements. The application form for admission to the hostel can be obtained from the College office.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has 12 stations multipurpose gymnasium.

The college has a fully automated Central Library. Total number of books in the library- Around 28000
Total number of journals in the library- 40

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The College has a centralized computer lab functioning in the college which caters to the needs of the students from all the departments.

The College canteen provides light refreshments and lunch at a reasonable rate.

The College auditorium and seminar hall of the college are well furnished and provide facilities that enable seminar presentations through audiovisual aids. Besides they are also having an open-air auditorium.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The College houses a co-operative store inside the campus with the object of carrying out the purchase and sale of textbooks, notebooks, and stationery items. All students of the college and members of the staff are eligible for membership.  A photocopying facility is available in the College.
