Polytechnic, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college Library caters to need of the Information needs of the students, researchers faculties, and alumni of this University. Enrolled students, researchers, existing faculties of The M S university can avail the membership of the Library.

The college has an excellent computer Center as a central facility started in 1980 with assistance from the University Grant Commission(UGC), New Delhi, and installation of an IBM/360 system. Initially, research students and teachers were using the University Computer Center for research data processing work. Later on, Computer Center had started to undertake job works for different industries like Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(ONGC), Gujarat Electricity Board(GEB), Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Limited(IPCL), etc. sustain development expenses. During the past 25 years, with the development in technology, the Computer Center had upgraded hardware and software from the grants received from the UGC and different Five Year Plan grants from the state government and other government funding agencies. Later, The Computer Center had widened its activities and started to computerized university applications like Examination Result Processing System, Payroll System, Provident Fund Accounting System, etc. 

The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.

College Sports are an integral part of General Education. This department with one Director and seven Assistant directors (5 Men & 2 Women) and a Hockey Coach arose the general consciousness of health among students and select and train capable to represent the University at state, national and international sports. Amongst them are Shri Ansuman Gaekwad, Shri Kiran More, Shri Atul Bedside, Shri Nayan Mongia represented the country in cricket, Shri Salim Ginwala, and Kum. Lata George for the world university games in Football and Table Tennis. Kum. Trishla Singh and Shri Davinder Singh won the gold medals in the All India Inter-University Swimming and Athletics.  

The college has a Guest House is located in the heart of the University Campus, just beside the Vice Chancellor's Bungalow. It provides comfortable facilities for staying on the campus. It has a total of 30 rooms with different types of comforts.

The college has a good networking for the alumni association.

The college has one of the largest Hostel Campuses in western India. 12 Boys Hostels and 4 Girls Hostels are spread over an area of approximately 100 acres. All the students residing in the hostels are provided with minimum facilities like a bed, a cupboard, a table, and a chair in the room individually. All the hostels are equipped with In every Hostel automatic gas-fired hot water boilers facility, which provides hot water during the winter season. Hostels are also equipped with a dining hall, a common hall, a Mike system facility, etc.

The college provides curative, preventive, and promotive medical care of reasonable quality to the University employees, their dependent family members, and the students of the University with almost no or minimum burden to their pockets.
