Degree wise Admission Process
B.Com: At Pragati College, a merit-based selection process is applied for admission. Candidates who have passed 12th standard in Commerce or any equivalent can apply. Selection of candidates is strictly based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
BMS: The admission procedure to the BMS program is merit-based. Applicants can be from any stream of study, be it Arts, Commerce, or Science. Here, the students from the Commerce stream are given a priority basis selection. The B.Com Banking and Insurance program will also admit candidates based on marks in the 12th standard, especially subjects related to Commerce and Mathematics.
M.Com Advance Accountancy: For this postgraduate course, the candidates should have completed B.Com or equivalent degree. Admission is made based on marks scored in the qualifying degree and entrance test or interview may be included.
B.Sc Information Technology: To get admission into this course, students should have passed 12th standard with Mathematics and preferably Computer Science or Information Technology. The selection will be made on merit in the qualifying examination.
BA (History and Economics): The BA programs in History and Economics have a merit-based admission process, with marks obtained in 12th standard, keeping in mind the relevant subjects.
MA Economics: Graduates in Economics or any other related field are eligible. The admission process may consider graduation marks and possibly an entrance test or interview.
Ph.D. in Commerce and Economics: For Doctoral, students have to clear an entrance test. Then interview or evaluation takes place on research proposals. In doctoral programs, only a Master's degree is permissible.
