The admission here is based on merits. You have to apply the form. and complete the procedure. The admission is purely based on merits. The  eligibility for the course is -

The candidate must have successfully completed 10 + 2 minimum 50% aggregate marks from a recognized college/ university. The minimum age must be 17 years.

Most of the students here are TAMILIANS, but other state students can definitely take admission here.

Presidency college Chennai is a very famous private college and for admission in Psychology department there is no entrance examination.

Admission in Presidency College, Chennai is fully merit based that depends on the result of 10+2. But as there is only 40 seats for Psychology department so one should have a good marks in 10+2 level.

But for MSc in Psychology, students have to appear for a entrance examination named TANCET.

Eligibility- Student must have get 50% in graduation to apply for TANCET exam.

The application fee is 500/- for general catagory and 250/- for SC/ST catagory candidates.

Admission procedure through online mode and after taking and and entrance  test the candidate is selected for the respective course. College environment is good educational programme is also good. Hostel facility is commendable, food in the mess is also good. Nominal fees for post graduate courses which is a 2 years 1800 per year . Being a government college the Fees very much less than the other colleges.

For taking admission in Msc psychology in presidency College Chennai candidate has to pass 10 + 2 + 3 e-academy course to take admission in persuasion courses for Msc psychology should  BSC psychology and have passed 10 + 2 to system of education.

Companies like TCS and Infosys comes for the recruitment process. Companies among Big 4 visit for campus selection (EY, KPMG, Delloite). TCS conducted placement programme which consists 40 days training and placement through its drive. 30 students got selected out of 80. The chances were only given to those who participated in the training. Other than TCS, some small companies have conducted placement drives.
