PIADS Nagpur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Priyadarshini Institute of Architecture and Design Studies is an important college for architecture and design studies, located in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The college was started in the year 1994, affiliated, and approved by the Council of Architecture. It conducts specialised courses for architecture and design studies. The college has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for the assurance of excellent education. The total enrolment for the institute is 539 students, and the faculty size includes 37 members.

The paper next discusses the facilities designed for overall improvement in student learning. The Institute has a well-stocked library to enable students to access rich literature on architecture and design. PIADS is also equipped with good IT infrastructure that will let students stay updated with new technologies and software related to their study. For physical fitness, the institute has sports and gym facilities for maintaining a proper balance between studies and fitness. The campus has an auditorium meant for events and seminars, which helps to keep the academic atmosphere very vibrant. 

There are three full-time courses in total at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels offered by PIADS. The B.Arch program is the undergraduate program, and that being the very cornerstone of the institute's offerings, the seat intake is 120, at the post-graduate level, two specialisations are being offered. Master of Architecture in Landscape and Master of Design in Industrial Design, each with an intake of 20 seats. The courses offered at Jatin Das Institute of Creative Arts are targeted towards equipping students with advanced skills in their respective fields.

The admission procedure of PIADS is formulated in a manner so that it can encompass the applicants with the maximum potential for the courses of architecture and design. For the course of B.Arch, the institute offers to avail the score of NATA – a standardised test designed for assessing the aptitude of the candidate for architectural study.
