Yes, they do have all the necessary infrastructural facilities and equipment They do have good classrooms studios while talking about the sports Centre sports Centre is of the whole campus and hostels are quite good hostel They do have mess facilities
I was studying there bachelor of architecture The teaching quality was good. They do update the recent developments in the field and they are more focused on practical knowledge. As well as the book knowledge
Recently, they have started placements. I think from 2019 onwards as per now they haven’t Reach the goal of hundred percent placement they are trying hard to place each and every student of their college and in fact they they help us even after graduating from the college for getting the best suitable and possible job .
The course of bachelors degree in Architecture cost is for around 1,29,00,0 per year. And they do provide scholarship for four eligible student. Which will cover almost half of the fees and yes I think that it is worth to pay the amount for the quality education
Did you have activity week in a year where all the student of all the semesters has has two came together and interact with each other participates in competitions. The activity week is called as AURA in the activity. We could they do I have till farewells for the final year student. Freshers new batches It is so nice that in activity week, each one of the students interact with the other students and create the healthy environment in the college.
It is the best college in Nagpur and one of the best colleges in India. It was trying in top 25 college is in India for architecture and design studies. Overall no one is going to regret after getting admission to this college.
The college have all the necessary infrastructure the living space is clean and beautiful they have good canteen where they serve only healthy food. all the facilities are available which all are necessary for the students
The teaching quality is so good and year by year they are improving the teaching strategies. They are heading towards more practical knowledge rather than just teaching books they are being more innovative
Placement are not that good as per now but they are working on it they are trying to give students more opportunities even after passing college they are helping us to find the suitable jobs if coming year they will reach the tag of 100% placements
We have to pay around 1.29 lakh per year in which you get scholarship if you are eligible which is almost half of amount of the fees and i think the education is value for money and as per my knowledge all the private collegeS has the same fee structure
Priyadarshini Institute Institute of Architecture and design studies campus is one of the best campus they have annual week every year called AURA where the all competitions and special lectures organise for students
Overall PIADS is the best college in Nagpur. They have been in top 25 for best architecture institutions / colleges in India . If any one is getting admission in piads they won’t gonna regret it. Its just that they have there certain rules to be at the position
Although it's a very pretty school, the functionality in terms of weather resistance etc is slightly low. But great environment to study design in. Medical rooms, labs, printer/plotter facilities, workshops can be a little better.
New technologies and technological innovations are yet to be taught in this college - curriculum, as is the case in all architecture schools in India, is redundant, but like competing colleges like IDEAS, VNIT, more software oriented studies are the need of the hour.
Not yet full fledged - but seems odd to a good start. Local architecture studios are all approached, and they have hired many for good, full time jobs. Big fishes like Godrej, TATA also in rounds. Upcoming years may show a great rise in placements in this field as well as college
Must get better - at 1L 13k a year, the college can be better equipped.
Brilliant design leads to good social interactions and great events. The college itself is an entity that urges good studying environment.
Good for a small city college - always can be chosen as backup.
Great architecture - the college itself teaches you design. Equipments are all good enough. They must improve in the printers/plotters section. Library well equipped. A medical emergency room yet to be added. A good, local chef headed canteen makes for a great experience.
Curriculum outdated as all architecture colleges in India - but where PIADS can improve is it's incorporation of softwares early on in the course, and also in hiring more practising architects who can impart better knowledge.
Placements are an up and coming section in the college. Established companies like Godrej, Tata etc were approached even in the beginning years - I see it improving in the upcoming years. Local architecture studio etc were approached in hoards, and many were drafted into full time working jobs. So all in all, it's not there yet, but will be soon.
It cost about 1L 15K each year - not really, things can get better for the kind of investment this is. In terms of faculty and pedagogy.
Many opportunities like summer school, winter school, site visit, study tours etc available Within campus, the design of the building itself propagates good social mingling. The larger University campus is also very naturistic - inspires good sketch walks, great design inspiration etc. The other branches are friendly and host events to which even architecture students apply etc.
Wonderful 5 years - for a tier 2 city college life experience, this is as good as it gets. Course wise things can improve immensely. Other competing colleges like IDEAS and VNIT have an edge over PIADS in terms of incorporation of the newest technological learnings.
PIADS offers students an ideal setting for their architectural education, allowing them to truly immerse themselves in their learning. It offers a comprehensive range of amenities. What stands out is its seamless integration with the natural surroundings.
I completed my studies at PIADS in the year 2023. The faculty at PIADS is exceptionally professional and well-informed. The senior faculty members boast extensive experience and offer students top-notch guidance and education.
While the college makes efforts to offer students a quality education, the placement opportunities are somewhat lacking. There were only limited job placement chances, mainly concentrated in specific fields.
The annual course fee is approximately 1.2lakhs, which I guess is decent enough. Regarding the education aspect, I believe it offers good value for money, although there's always room for enhancement. I think there could be more effective utilization of these funds, such as investing in annual events or improving student welfare initiatives.
I can confidently say that my college experience at PIADS was fantastic, and I attribute it to not only the faculty but also the amazing and supportive seniors and helpful juniors. The annual event, Aura, is undoubtedly an experience worth having.
Great college campus that contributes to architectural understanding and reasoning - design and it's importance laid out for students to see and experience. Great classrooms, that are open to nature - except for a lack of basic amenities like medical rooms and huge print/plotter rooms needed for architecture schools, the library, audio visual rooms, auditoriums, computer labs, etc are top notch. Minimalistic, but fulfils needs. The hostel is situated outside campus. Food and stay there is averag
30% experienced teachers, 70% inexperienced. Architecture field as a whole requires an overhaul in the hiring dept. Same happens in this college - but the curriculum, it's system of winter and summer schools, activites etc are good. More incorporation of softwares, hard skills in updation of software knowledge required. Maybe a filtering system in choosing applicants for the 120 seats will help create a more inquisitive crowd - because that too informs how a class as a whole learns design.
Placements rarely happen in our college - it's on the road to become better. By the time I graduated, big fishes like Godrej, Neilsoft, etc had come in. Hoping of better opportunities for my juniors (TATA etc were being approached as the batch below me we're graduating)
Private college - 1.3 lacs per annum. Too high I would say. The infrastructure alone does not make up for it - the quality of faculty, the frequency of study tours, placements, larger printing/plotting facilities, better canteens all must contribute.
Amazing campus - Habeeb Khan's contemporary vernacular architecture is a perfect blend of nature and built environment - student life within campus is enhanced and heightened because of the various seating and social spaces available. All extracurricular activities take place in the outdoors - workshops, hands on seminars, even juries can happen in the courtyards and negative spaces formed between classes etc. Non-teaching faculty are like family to students. Surrounded by other departments etc
All in all a learning experience - in my personal opinion, an average, non-descript college worked to my benefit much more than a highly reputed one. The growth curve was too large for me to ever regret going to this college.
Hi,
Priyadarshini Institute of architecture and design, Nagpur is the best option between the two. It is one of the top college and was established in 1994. The infrastructure here is amazing, they have a big library and a huge campus and also the faculty is amazing. The buildings are very beautiful and the ambience is great. The teachers are very experienced and qualified. The placements are also good and around 80-90% students get placed. You can go ahead with this college as it ranks 23/30 colleges in architecture.
I hope this helps,
All the best.
