Priyadarshini Polytechnic College was started in the year 1996 at Bharath Nagar, Chettiyappanur, Vellore district of Tamil Nadu –India. This affiliated college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Along with four diploma courses, it has a total student intake capacity of 806 in its 22.82-acres of land area. This college is proud of 42 members of faculties and cares abut the student-faculty ratio. The facility of specializations at Priyadarshini Polytechnic College is also recognized for its technical education courses include Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and communication, and Computer Engineering.

Priyadarshini Polytechnic College offer facilities which aims at supporting the learning of its students. It contains updated books mostly on engineering and technological issues which are very useful for the students as well as the staff of the university. For physical development, the college provides limited resources for games and sports both indoor and outdoor. There are 4 full-time diploma programmes offering in the Priyadarshini Polytechnic College and all the programmes take 3 years to complete. The college provides courses like Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and communication, and Computer Engineering. The total approved intake for these courses is 330 seats The intake for each course has been approved and set as follows: The college aims to offer standard technical education in the main branches of engineering sciences to cater for demand in related fields. The admission policy of Priyadarshini Polytechnic College is very flexible having quality merit based admission process. This means that any candidate who has passed 10th standard or any other equivalent test that was offered with Mathematics and Science subjects is considered eligible for admission to the Programme. Any student can pursue the diploma courses; there is no requirement of the lower age limit that is an advantage. 

The college also practices a merit-wise communal reservation system by which the college admits student in order to diversify the community. The target customers are expected to download and complete form, which should be submitted before the set deadline.
