PDEA CARC is, indeed an institution of ayurvedic education and research that has been established in the year 1990 and has grown to become a prime institution for ayurvedic education and research at Pune, Maharashtra. The college is affiliated and approved by the Central Council for Indian Medicine. It offers a variety of programmes for Ayurvedic medicine. PDEA CARC stands on a campus of 2 acres and can accommodate 591 students. It has a faculty strength of 63.
The overall learning process will be complete in PDEA CARC. The college has provisioned various facilities for academic and personality development. The central library acts as a knowledge centre, containing books and journals on the latest research works and developments in the Ayurvedic field. The college offers 25 full-time courses at various levels of Ayurvedic education, primarily at the Bachelor's degree level. Of course, the flagship programme of the college is BAMS that forms the basis of Ayurveda studies. The college provides a wide range of MD and MS programmes at the postgraduate level, in the specialised areas of Ayurveda, such as Ayurved Samhita Evam Siddhant, Dravyaguna Vigyana, and Panchakarma. For those students who wish to take up research, the institution provides Ph.D. programmes in several disciplines such as Samhita Siddhant, Sharir Rachana, and Kayachikitsa.

PDEA CARC follows national standards in the admission processes, and for BAMS programme eligibility, a candidate has to appear in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) for the respective year. MD and MS courses have the scope of postgraduate admissions where candidates have to give the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET). Eligibility for the courses is as per the CCIM guidelines and the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.

PDEA CARC is strictly done on the basis of national standards followed by the Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM) and the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. The cycle of PDEA CARC admission begins in May-June for programmes that begin their academic year during August-September.
The eligibility criteria for the BAMS programme in PDEA CARC is: 10+2 with compulsory subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Candidates who have completed their BAMS degree from a recognised university are eligible to apply for postgraduate programmes like MD/MS. PDEA CARC accepts NEET-UG scores for BAMS admission, and AIAPGET scores are allowed in the process of MD/MS.
