Punjab College of Technical Education, Ludhiana: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Owned and run by Punjab College of Technical Education Society (PCTE) established in the year 1999, PCTE is one of the Ludhiana’s premier institutions for technical education. Located on the vast piece of land measuring 2.73 acres, PCTE is one of the growing multifaceted institutes providing technical and management education. The college is an affiliated college and is fully accredited with All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE) thus embracing the code of education standards in the country. PCTE has a total enrolment capacity of 881, and a faculty of 18 members and provides a vast number of courses for student across various fields giving them a platform to build up their academic as well as career.

Punjab College of Technical Education Society is proud to extend the variety of facilities in order to contribute to the improvement of the learning process of students. Separate hostel facilities are available for Boys & Girls built and upgraded recently fully air- conditioned respective floors, Wi-Fi internet, safe and friendly atmosphere for study. The Boys’ Hostel occupies 13 doubles and 25 triples of air condition, the Girls Hostel has 14 single, 14 double, 14 triples properly furnished. Additional to accommodation, PCTE offer other facilities such as health center with first aid facilities, library, sport facility, information technology facility, canteen, hall for event and seminar and various laboratories to facilitate practical classes. There is also gym facilities within the compound, the campus has internet connection for the purpose of harnessing computerized teaching methodologies and the classes are fitted with modern gadgets. Also, the college has fostered the formation of various clubs among them; Music Club, Travel Club, Investment Club among others to ensure that the students engage in other activities than studying.

So far, the institution known as PCTE offers a total of four courses in three programmes of Study. These are fulltime undergraduate and postgraduate management and computer application courses. The college has the BBA programme for which 330 students are admitted, BCA programme for which 180 students are admitted, MBA for which 120 students are admitted and MBA in International business for which 60 students are admitted. All these programmes are intended to be full course programmes that will enable the students to get as much learning as is possible within their courses. This is well illustrated in the choice of its course and the facilities made available for the support of these courses as offered in the college.

The admission policy for Punjab College of Technical Education is highly structured and given a lot of importance.
