Raipur B Ed College, Bankura: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Raipur B.Ed. College was established in the Bankura District of West Bengal in India in the year 2008. This is a co-educational institution and an affiliated college that imparts education in the field of teacher education only. Spread over a compact area of 2.06 acres, the college offers a single degree course with an enrolment capacity of 200 students. The faculty strength of the institution is 13, and thus it follows a very focused approach towards education.

Facilities available in the college add to the conduction of learning among its students. The library is a well-stocked resource center with a large number of books available related to drama, novels, biographies, and specialized educational and psychological texts. Students have at their disposal various magazines, journals, and daily newspapers alongside photocopying services and internet-enabled computers. Other than these, the institute has separate boys' and girls' hostels that offer a homely environment while instilling discipline. These sports lovers take part in the annual events on indoor and outdoor games such as carom, chess, athletics, and different types of throwing games. Laboratory facilities are available based on departments for the students for practical learning. A health centre provides first-aid to the students for ensuring health safety.

One of the very few colleges, Raipur B.Ed. College, Bankura, has concentrated on only teacher education with a single full-time course of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. This programme will be for two years with an approved intake of 100 students per year, thus having a total student strength of 200 in both years.

Admission to Raipur B.Ed. College will be strictly based on merit in regard to marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. It has followed the admission policy decided by the State Government of West Bengal and the affiliating university.
