Raja Bhoj Government College, Raisen Admission Process

Raja Bhoj Government College, Raisen. It is a co-educational institution of philosophical education situated in Mandideep, Satlapur, Madhya Pradesh in India. It is providing various streams of undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses in Arts, Commerce, and Science streams.  That is to say, students further are admitted to merit depending on the performance of the qualifying examination. The college invites candidates for admission into various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Candidates seeking admission to the under-graduate courses may apply after passing the 10+2 examination from any recognized board. 

Admission to a postgraduate program is allowed for applicants possessing a Bachelor's degree in the discipline of his choice. Application Process

2. Application Form: Candidates need to fill out the application form. The forms are mostly available online on the college's website or offline from the admission office of the college.

3. Submission of Documents: Along with the complete application form, applicants have to send documents that are generally:

  • Marksheet of the qualifying examination for UG-level courses(10th + 12th) and Bachelor's degree for PG-level courses
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Character Certificate
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Current passport-sized photographs

4. Compilation of Merit List: The merit list is drawn on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination in line with the State Government's reservation policy.

5. Publishing of Merit List: The merit list is generally displayed on the notice board and/or website of the college. Candidates are advised to check their results.

6. Document verification: The selected candidates will be called for verifying documents in original with respect to this step.

7. Submission of fees: After the above-mentioned verification, candidates will deposit the fees within the given tenure to confirm their admission.

8. Commencement of Classes: This is the time for the college calendar to begin, post the completion of the admission process.

Admission Process in Degree

Raja Bhoj Government College, Raisen offers admission to about 9 courses in different streams at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The degree-wise admission process is described below:

Bachelor of Arts (BA): The college offers a general BA program. So admission to this program must usually depend on the marks obtained in the 10+2 examination. The college also has a very special BA in Computer Applications (Vocational), which is part arts and part computer application-oriented.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com): There are two B.Com programs, namely regular B.Com and B.Com with Computer Applications. Admission to them is on marks obtained in the 10th-2 examination focusing on commerce subjects.

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc): The college offers different B.Sc courses with different combinations:

  • B.Sc in Botany, Chemistry, and Zoology
  • B.Sc in Computer Application, Mathematics, and Physics
  • B.Sc in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics

Though usually, admission is based on the marks obtained in the relevant science subjects at the 10+2 examination.

Master of Arts (MA): Two different postgraduate programs:

  • MA in Sociology
  • MA in Political Science

There are certain qualifications for admission to these programs, namely, a candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in the relevant or related field. Furthermore, the graduation marks of the candidates may also be taken into consideration.
